Ceres Community Project
Sebastopol, CA

Bryan Blossom Foundation

Founded in 2007, the Ceres Community Project prepares home-delivered meals to people who are too sick to shop or cook for themselves. Meals are made from scratch by teen chefs with guidance from professional staff members. Fresh, 100% organic ingredients are used with an emphasis on plant-based foods to provide maximum nutrition. In addition, vegetables and herbs are frequently sourced from the Ceres gardens and local community farms whenever possible. Teaching young people how to cook with fresh, whole food ingredients sets them up with tools they need for a lifetime of healthy eating. Providing patients that are ill with organic, nutrient dense foods supports their healing.

Midway Center for Integrative Health
Midway, KY

Bryan Blossom Foundation

The Midway Center began as a primary care facility in 1952, but became Kentucky’s first integrative medical practice in 2005. Each patient is assessed for nutrition and food sensitivities, digestion, intestinal health, hormonal balance, micronutrients, organic acid, and genetics. Pharmaceutical prescriptions are critically assessed and are often replaced with personalized botanical and nutrient-support protocols. Patients receive emotional and spiritual support as they pursue goals of optimal sleep, fitness, and purpose. Dr. Jim Roach, the lead physician of the Midway Center, hosts an annual conference designed to train providers about creating integrative medical health practices with improved patient outcomes.
